White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen continues to be one of the most outspoken admirers of the Twins. From his pregame press conference yesterday:

“This ballclub is so underrated. They don’t even know they have the MVP here. They don’t even know Cuddy-air or Coddy-air or whatever the guy’s name, 100 RBIs. They don’t even know the best catcher in the game right now, is the kind they have, and one of the best second basemen. People think like, ‘Oh the Piranhanitas.’ No, bull, they’ve got a good team. They’ve got good players out there.”

The Twins actually like their best-kept-secret-in-baseball status. But Ozzie is blowing their cover. Sure enough, this week SI.com ran a piece from Baseball Prospectus, ranking the top 50 “most valuable” players in the game. It’s very well done. Some notable entries:

1. Albert Pujols

2. Joe Mauer

3. Johan Santana

4. Miguel Cabrera

5. Grady Sizemore

40. Justin Morneau

Check out the whole list, and tell us what you think of the rankings.
