You’d think after writing thousands of newspaper stories, I’d have a cure for writer’s block. But I’m sitting in San Francisco today, trapped in my hotel room with assignments to finish, as my wife enjoys the sunshine in her favorite city.
I’m here for All-Star coverage, and with La Velle grinding through this road trip with the Twins, Julie and I figured we’d get here to sightsee a few days before the MLB festivities start. (Note to my bosses: No worries, my expense account won’t kick in until Saturday night, when I was originally scheduled to arrive in advance of Sunday’s Futures Game.)
Anyway, apologies for my sporadic blogging of late. La Velle’s got you covered on Twins news, and I’ll have some on-scene details starting Sunday, when Matt Tolbert plays in the Futures Game, followed by updates on how Torii, Justin and Johan are enjoying the All-Star festivities on Monday.
Look for our Sunday feature on Baseball at the Break, where I predict which teams will fade and which teams will flourish in the second half. For discussion purposes, I’d like to hear your thoughts on that subject: Twins — fade or flourish? How about other teams – Brewers, Yankees, etc?
