1) Tommy Watkins sustained a lower abdominal muscle injury running the bases in the eighth inning. He’s day-to-day, but he was still in pain and having trouble moving as the team packed for Baltimore.

2) Torii Hunter has a sore right shoulder today, which led to Jason Tyner entering as a defensive replacement in the eighth inning. Hunter insisted he’d be back in the lineup tomorrow night.

3) Julio DePaula had a flight get canceled en route from Class AAA Rochester and didn’t make it to the ballpark today. He is at the Minneapolis airport, however, and will join the team charter to Baltimore. Apparently, he made it to Minnesota, but his luggage and equipment did not.

4) Dennys Reyes banged his left elbow against a chair a few days ago. He pitched Tuesday but was in pain. He had X-rays taken, and was diagnosed with a bruise and an inflamed tendon. He’s been taken anti-inflammatories. He was unavailable to pitch today but hopes to be able to pitch tomorrow night.
