Carlos Silva left today’s start after the second inning, and we’re still waiting to hear an injury update. Kevin Slowey has come on to pitch the third, so regarding my earlier post about Slowey pitching Sunday, that could change, too.

Silva took a line drive from Paul Konerko off his right hip in his previous start, and it left a deep bruise. Today, during the second inning, Manager Ron Gardenhire and trainer Dave Pruemer went to the mound to check on Silva, but he waved them off and finished the inning.

Update: Silva was diagnosed with a strained right groin. He slipped at some point during the first inning. He is listed as day-to-day.
