[...] Around the Majors wrote an interesting post today on Reflecting on a storybook game for Twins, TigersHere’s a quick excerptReflecting on a storybook game for Twins, Tigers Posted on April 15th, 2008 – 11:10 AM By Joe Christensen DETROIT — Well, last night brought one of those games that you could pick apart and talk about for a week. I tried boiling it down for the game story, answering as many questions as possible about how the Twins could squander those 5-0 and 9-4 leads in an eventual 11-9 loss. Hard to believe, the Twins came very close to re-tying that game in the ninth inning. Tigers closer Todd Jones got [...]

"Tolbert is nice player but is no major leauge shortstop. He doesn’t have the defensive talent to play there day in and day out."

So, you've scouted him then?

I can't believe how much negativity there is after each and every loss. I agree, some of the Gardy moves last night were questionable, but they just as easily could have won us that game. We need to realize that in every teams season (even the eventual champions) there are going to be games like this. We need to focus on the fact that the Twins Starting pitching has been way beyond our expectations so far and the fact that most of the time the Twins play the proper brand of professional baseball.
