That was a bad day offensively! What were there...11 strike outs? The Twins have been holding their head above water without any power what so ever. I was amazed at where the Twins batting average rated with the rest of the American League teams though (3rd)!

Pinch hitting Lamb was a worthless cause; geez, he's bad!

Maybe the herky jerky pitching style that Neshek has puts a lot of strain on his arm (especially in cold weather)! Is it ever going to warm up? I don't even think most trees have their leaves out yet; by the time they come out, they will turn colors and fall off for fall!

I can't wait until Punto is off the team so we don't have to discuss whether he is good or bad anymore.

I am neither a Vavra supporter or hater. I think it is relatively easy to blame failure on someone else and claim success as your own. Doesn't make it true and doesn't make it false. Just an easy way to go. You know it is entirely possible that Vavra is the smartest hitting coach on earth. And, it is equally possible he can't teach or communicate squat.

Vavra-bashers give no credit to him in a 13 run game and blame him for shutouts. I do neither. Vavra-bashers would show consistency if they gave both credit and blame to the same guy for success and failure for all the Twins hitting; not just in their losses.

UPDATE on Neshek. Gardy said something "rolled over" in his elbow, whatever that means.

Still not good, but not necessarily catastrophic. You tell me, a ligament strain?
