Silva is getting run out of town in Seattle as he should. In MN, we love Livan’s rubber arm

Livan isn't getting paid Silva money to suck.

Livan's ERA is terrible because, on the days he is getting the crap kicked out of him, Gardy leaves him in the game to "eat innings".
When the young starters are getting the crap kicked out of THEM, Gardy replaces them to preserve their confidence.
As a result Livan 's ERA is 5.29 and Slowey's is 4.41.

The thing with Livan is I believe his ERA in wins is really, really good. In the neighborhood of 2.6 or something. In the losses it's really bad. So when he wins(which is more than not) he's really good and when he loses he's really bad. So in other words, his wins are not the product of the offense scoring 10 runs to bail him out. He's doing whats needed.

Me Too - I guess where we differ is that I don't see luck as something tangible. I don't see it as some lady standing behind me. I don't see it as some sort of "hotness" that I may or may not have left in me.
I see luck as a positive outcome of a random event. As with anything random, it can't be counted on. Therefore, since I can't control luck and neither can anyone else, the only thing I can do is be more skilled than my compition, as the player with the most skill has the best chance for future success.
