Craig,
I have no idea what "it" is.
I'm just repeating what I have heard.

The Twins now have the 2nd best team batting average in MLB at .279, one point below the Rangers at .280.

One more good day and Vavra's book will be at bookstores everywhere.

While the Twins could still benefit from having Beltre in the lineup, Buscher demonstrated today that he could be replace Lamb on the bench.

Everett's "spot" on the roster has been shakey for a while, I think night's like tonight pretty much finish him off.

If they can bring in Beltre this season, Lambykins will likely be shipped to ANYBODY who just wants to throw a body at the Twins.

OF: Young/Span/Kubel (depending on Cuddy/Gomez health)
IF: Beltre/Harris/Casilla/Morneau
C: Mauer
DH: Monroe
Bench: Redmond/Buscher/Punto/...I'm forgetting somebody

But now they've got Span as the confounding variable.

So with injuries you've got Cuddyer, Gomez, Tolbert, and Everett...and like one spot for all of them.

I'm guessing you could pull an Ortiz type trade with Punto and Lamb...but it'd be tough.

I know everybody hates Punto...but Everett's no better. And Tolbert has been out for a WHILE. Long enough that I don't think being on the Twins bench is going to do anything to help him get his swing back.

Evertt can just vanish. So Punto stays PLAYS OFF THE BENCH and that's that.

His bat got hot, it's not anymore.
