Reyes started the 8th and didn't so his job. Good job by Guerrier, nice catch by Span (Gomez who?), and good job by Morneau & Kubel in the 9th.

"Our eight inning guy, G, should have started and ended the eighth."

Nonsense!
Read the blog!
NATHAN should have started thr 8th and 9th (and 10th and 11th) if the game was on the line!

whale's foot, it was not putting in reyes that was a bad call it was leaving Blackburn in when he was clearly done. Our eight inning guy, G, should have started and ended the eighth.

The manager needs to put the players in position to succeed. If the player then doesn't succeed, it is the players fault, not the manager.
Seems that the right call was made. Lefty in to face a Left handed hitter. If it was 3 righties in there in the 8th, then yes, you would have grounds to complain about Reyes.
Blackburn was banging on the door of 100 pitches, with a lefty scheduled up 2nd in the 8th. Doesn't seem like a bad decision at that point.
