What kinda stinks is we lost first place in the division AND in the Wild Card standings. Oh well. Got to gear up for Seattle. That team is nearly forty games below five hundred, and over thirty games out of first. That is really BAD. So that means we're going to have three really hard fought games against a P.O'ed. team that probably thinks they are better than us and better than their record indicates. It doesn't get any easier from here on out.

I don't get why you'd not pitch him here, just in case you need him the next two days. This was a game to be won. They should pitch him when they need him. If he goes two innings today, and is not ready tomorrow, oh well. They would have gotten today's win. Again, it is simple game theory. When you have a chance to win, take it (I'm not suggesting bringing him in in the 3rd, please don't straw man this argument). If he pitches today, they probably win. He may not even be needed tomorrow or Tuesday. They are better off, statistically, getting today's win, and letting something else happen tomorrow.
