Yes, the Twins should have played much better against the M’s…and a 3-4 road trip so far is disappointing. However, if you include the continued game the Whities lost to Baltimore, both teams are 3-4 over the last seven. So with the trip half over, the Twins have not lost any ground. Before the trip, I remember seeing several predictions that the Twins would lose 2-4 games in the standings. So far? 0.

Twins need to play better–no question. But their position is not too bad at this moment.

Not at all, Carlos! Even a 3-1 series against the A’s and a 1-2 series by CWS and we’re in first. Toronto scares the dickens out of me. Depends on whether Halliday pitches Sun or Mon/Tues, when ever the series begins. He pitched last night in TB so I hope he comes back on Sun. That starting pitching and new-found hitting now that Rios and Wells are hot is scary. But that’s a series away. Let’s take care of the A’s first.

Hey Daniel,
Yes, those M’s drained us. Some tough losses in August… But, a game out with a month to go. That’s a very good position and one we didn’t expect. I would like 3-1 against the A’s with 0-3 for the whities. Too much to hope for?

We need the sox (red ones) to save a few runs for this weekend. I would love a red sox sweep. (Only time all year I can say such a thing).
