BALTIMORE — The Twins could get a lift heading into today’s doubleheader with the Orioles, as there are rumblings they will activate Michael Cuddyer from the disabled list before Game 1.

Cuddyer broke a bone in his left foot Aug. 8 but was given clearance to run by the team’s medical staff earlier this week. Cuddyer is still limited with his running, but he has been taking batting practice each day.

It’s doubtful Cuddyer would be able to play defense, but he would be available as a pinch hitter. We should know more at the ballpark this afternoon.
