How fitting that the 2009 schedule has come out. Its something to look forward to since there is nothing left for 2008 thanks to the myriad F-ups by Twins management, field and office, over the last nine months. Hopefully they will take some of the money they are saving by trading and letting star players go and find a couple good late-inning relievers, the lack of which is their number one flaw, and one that has been palpably obvious now for about three and a half months. Give these clowns one more year to show they can seriously compete in MLBA. If they fail again, together or apart, show them the door.

As I said I am happy to see the Twins coming to Chicago to play the Cubs. I will have to be careful since I work with many loyal Cubs fans ;)

willem with the way the Twins are going into a spiral of losses the relief pitching will not help one bit. I am sorry to say but I fear that the season is lost as of this point.

The Curse of the Cuddyer has returned to the Twins. With Cuddyer in the dugout and in the lineup the Twins are cursed to lose the division race. Just look at how they have done since his return to the lineup. Cuddyer is not helping the Twins win and will not be of much help in the future. I know that Gardenhire is confused and thinks he has to put him in the lineup. Unfortunately, the Twins will lose the divison race because of poor judgement by thier manager Gardenhire. Punto has cost the Twins 2 wins in the last 10 days all by himself. With the addition of the weak clutch hitting Cuddyer, who carries a curse to lose the division championship, the Twins are sunk. Gardenhire is responsible for who is in the lineup and he should have known better than to play Punto regularly throughout the game, game after game. He also should not have Cuddyer in the lineup at all. Cuddyer is probably the most over-rated player in the major leagues. His arm in over-rated and is only average. He is clumsy and falls down or stumbled frequently. He is a strike out victim in most clutch situations. He also is kind of a clown who does not take the game serious, but only talks a good game. For the sake of the Twins future, both Punto and Cuddyer should be traded as soon as possible. The Twins could use more quality relief pitching.
