I couldn’t agree more. Gregg is bad. He couldn’t keep the closing job in Florida, and that’s with no other great options around him. I wouldn’t want him, especially since Keith Law says the Cubs gave up a great prospect to get him.

Let’s go after Smoltz if he’ll return to the bullpen. Pridie should be included in any trade, scouts like him and he has no future here. If healthy, Crede is the best option for 3B (the proof is his year against the Twins). To the Twins FO, let Punto walk!!

We have excess of outfielders so trade one of the CF’s plus one pitcher straight up for Hardy. But if it has to be Baker, Slowey or Frankie….I wouldn’t do it.

See if they would take 2 lesser pitchers straight up instead of one good one (Blackburn or Perk + Humber). Keep the CF’s for now…

How about we go after Furcal to play SS and trade for Hardy to play 3B. That would give us a lineup!!!
