As a reminder Escobar is (at least) 25 years old and last season hit .288/.366/.401 (as a comparison Young hit .290/.336/.405). He's a 40 homer 100 rbi guy. I know he strikes out a lot, but he also leads the league in walks...so that adds up to a like a .390 on base percentage which is really really good.
