1. Off-season speculation is awesome, everyone clinging to the smallest of baseball news, running on fumes.

2. The Twins would benefit from Blake, not worth arguing.

3. The Bullpen won't be shored up in any real way other than a symbolic weak signing. The shortcoming last season was a fluke of the 24 of 30 road game streak. And don't be so quick to forget that the Twins have a glut of pitching prospects ALWAYS. Mijares, Humber, Swarzak etc...

4. They won't trade any piece of the 5 man, it's just too valuable. (even though i dream of Blackburn for Yunel Escobar, i know that we can't always count on the farm to replace a good arm immediately.

5. They're going to sit on Young and if he develops DH him. Kubel is good, but too much of a liability against LHP. It's too painful.

6. They'll bring back Punto.

BTW, Sanchez is a flame-throwing LH with a ton of potential, not a nibbler like perkins- AND J. Cantu is a free-swing K machine, who is not pretty with the glove- better with Buscher- who has deceptively solid offense, with the same horrific defense that Cantu would bring- if we could get cantu for perkins, that's be ok- if SF trades Sanchez for him, they're clueless!

wouldn’t trade gardy, kelly, ullger, or terry ryan for ortiz straight up. he was straight-up worthless while he was with the twins.

ok. for a moment let’s agree that he were worthless while with the Twins.

So you attribute his maturation into a superstar with the Red Sox to:

a. divine intervention/magic/whatever supernatural phenomenon you prefer

b. Getting out of a slap everything into the opposite field philosophy

or

c. luck

I don’t know about you, but I do tend to believe that b. was likely the case…

what do you think?

D. = "Vitamins" (his numbers are going dooown.....)

I'd trade an OF to TB, but TB would have to give up Bartlett, J. Guzman (3B hitting .947 ops in winter ball, blocked by Longoria), and one of TB's pitchers for long relief (Niemann, Hammell)... Otherwise, I really think platoon matchups should allow enough abs for all 5 guys, with rare DH appearences for Morneau and Mauer (Keep Gomez away from tough RH, Span and Kubel from Tough LH (they hit rev lh pretty good)- when in doubt, leave DY out, lol! (Cuddyer at 3b still dances in my head- he should have Blake's offense, and the same range, with just as good of an arm, just needs his glove to cooperate.....)

Ron Burgundy says:

"I’ve been gone for over 8 hours and I’m glad everyone has stopped posting how Blake will be a Twin. HE’S NOT COMING, please stop talking about him. He will be a Dodger…60% of the time I’m right, every time"

I'm going to hold you to that.
