This team will not win the division next year unless we pick up some RH bat-- did anyone one forget this tam was shut out 13-14 times last year, or once out of every 7-8 losses? How many games did we score just 1 run, too?

Management might just have to get used to the fact that some of our wealth of arms in the minors might actually succeed in another organization if they are traded for a commodity we need. Garza was a case in point this year and most Twins trades usually work out in our favor as the Twins scouts/FO usually know who to ask for in other organizations.. David Ortiz, Lohse, Tapani, Aguilera,Casilla, etc.... Garza will probably regress to a Silva type season (4-15) and Young will bang to 15-20 HR 85 rbi and Harris will be better or equal to Bartlett. He who laughs last laughs longest and the Twins will be better in the long run on the TBay deal.

Now is time for the Twins to strike when the poker is hot.. need to make a bold move before Mand M wear down/ opt for free agency... Hardy, DeRosa for the Right side and move Punto in the process.. Tolbert and Harris as subs will do the job at a fraction of the cost. We have the pieces to entice the Brewers- Boof, Humber, Mulvey and another prospect (the 19 year old hotshot from the Santana trade?) and Punto- git er done! Why have all the poker chips if you're not willing to use them? Twins took a decent gamble with the TBay trade last year, didn't work out as well as we all hoped but the dividends will pay off this year and the next.. Gomez and Hardy for essentailly Santana would be the sweetest Twins deal.

Seems most of the posters here don't actually watch the Twins.
Let me square some things here.
With the current lineup the Twins win the division. The current lineup will be intact on February 15, '09 .
None of the starting pitchers will be traded. That is just stupid to think of.
All of the names tossed around are not trade worthy.
Beltre, Wigginton, Hardy etc.
Mostly over paid...over rated...bad attitude players.
We have an abundance of quality and depth on this team in the form of everyday players and pitchers.
Hope you are all up to speed now.
