pete d ...no i am not upset about joe nelson. i am just tired of watching other teams and our competitors make moves to better themselves (although i ? signing everett as helpful) while we do nothing but resign punto and a bunch of minor leaguers and castoffs...there are people out there that can help this club, but our front office is too arrogant and too cheap to make honest efforts to get somebody...i guess the answer to all this is to get Zygi to buy the twins....he would already have signed wigginton and probably pulled off a trade for hardy plus working on the bullpen --stop the dream

jama,

I think that Harris should be the starting 3B if nobody else is acquired, Buscher should be in AAA and someone like Tolbert or Tolleson backing Harris up as a utility person.

Whether Harris could put Koskie-like numbers is up in the air. Koskie's career line was .275/.367/.458 in 2007 with the Rays Harris had a .286/.343/.434 season. That's close, but the home runs are not there. He spent some time in the PCL in the minors that really exaggerates home runs. In his last non PCL minors season, 2006 (Louisville, international league), he hit .324/.384/.534 with 5 HRs in 148 AB. That's the equivalent of about 17 HRs in 500 AB. Koskie's high other that the PCL was 23 with New Britain in the Eastern league in 437 AB... I don't think that Harris will ever develop Koskie power, but he will be close on BA and OBP (maybe even a bit higher than Koskie)
