Wednesday lineups: Twins/Tigers
Posted on May 13th, 2009 – 3:20 PMBy Joe Christensen
Only two Twins have had more than one career at-bat against Dontrelle Willis. Delmon Young is 3-for-8, and Brendan Harris is 0-for-6.
Harris is in the lineup tonight, Young is not, though the Twins have stacked the bottom of their lineup with righthanded hitters. (Corrected from earlier.)
For his career, Willis has held lefties to a .199 average, compared to .278 for righties. With Denard Span, Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau, the Twins will take their chances.
Update: Corrected a couple things on here from the original post. No, the Twins are not going with two catchers, wise guys. Mauer is the DH. My bad.
