NEW YORK — Twins third baseman Joe Crede left tonight’s game in the fifth inning, as Brendan Harris took his place in the field.
Crede was due up first in the top of the sixth inning. Will update his status when more information is available.
Update: Crede left the game with tightness in his lower back and was removed for precautionary reasons, the Twins just announced. He is day-to-day.
I’ll have more on this for first editions.
Update: Manager Ron Gardenhire said Crede had back spasms and his hamstrings were tightening up.
“So we got him out of there as quick as we could, and we’ll see what happens. We’ll just go day-to-day.”
