Wednesday lineups: Crede returns

OAKLAND, CALIF. — No update yet on Denard Span, who flew back to Minnesota to see a specialist about his recent spells of dizziness, but Joe Crede is back in the lineup after leaving Tuesday night’s game with a bruised left forearm.
Updates to come…
Meanwhile, head to La Velle’s blog for his comprehensive Day 2 draft analysis.
Update: Still no word on Span. Probably won’t have an update on that until Thursday.
The specialist the Twins were going to have Span see is out until Tuesday, so team physician Dr. Tom Jetzer will run Span through a battery of tests over the next couple days.
Manager Ron Gardenhire wouldn’t speculate on who is getting sent down when Nick Punto is activated from the disabled list, but it’s probably a telling sign that Matt Tolbert is in the lineup tonight, not Alexi Casilla.
