RW: He won’t come cheap: understatement. If we want him, I bet the Twins would be looking at Gutierrez, Dinkelman + or some such deal. Steep price but debateable, as are most trades.

Well Sanchez has a NL batting title, and can drive the ball a bit for a 2b (second in NL in doubles).

My guess is he wouldn’t come cheap. I think he has one more year under contract.

WJ: Hell yeah. I doubt Pitt would take that (they have lots of rotation depth, I know cause I live in Pitt and they just traded for more in the McLouth trade), but if it could be done that would be a coup.

the only reason I can think of for not letting Dickey go a 3rd inning tonight is the fear of a Liriano implosion tommorow night, and needing Dickey for multiple innings again tomorrow night. EVen with that, seems to be it should have been Henn or Ayala instead of Mijares
