[Reader Vern found the new n2a offering very Aston Martin-y. So I’ve posted their road rocket below the Anteros for comparison. Thanks, K]
Because of their superlative out-of-the-box performance, Corvettes make a great base for a custom car. If you didn’t blow that spare 200,000 bucks on the ex-drag car Tempest in the post below, maybe you’d like to consider an Anteros.
This new look for the Vette comes from n2A Motors, the crew who brought us the 789, a custom design inspired by Chevy models from the last 3 years of the ’50s. (We talked about that car at the start of the year.) Anteros looks like a lotta go for the money.
[Body double–the Aston Martin DBS? I love British cars and a DB5 will never get booted outta my garage. In this contest though, I kinda like the Anteros–little more curve, little less busy.]
Hi Chris,
First - Thoughts about the auto industry possibly merging? It makes me wonder what a combined product would look like coming from For-ysl-let (Ford, Chrysler, Chevrolet).
Next - We need more blogs coming from you! At least when reading or talking about the information posted here it is a diversion from the other news of Recounts, economy, job loss - it is a mental escape… so please provide more topics, thoughts, insights, projects, etc.
Lastly - I really liked the last two blog topics about the re-vette and the unknown Pontiac. It was great to discuss this around the water cooler and other car gang.
Unknown Pontiac? Please elaborate, or provide a link ;]
Thanks!
CJ–Jerome is talking about the Pontiac Tempest discussed immediately below this post (the blog post, rather than the comments). I have the eBay link in the post and as of this moment, it still brings up the car, auction closed, and all the people’s comments as they narrowed down what it was.
Thanks for your kind words, JB. I’ll fire up the mouse-wheel and turn out some food for thought.
Best, Kris
That fella looks a heck of a lot like an Aston Martin to me, which I think is an excellent way to modify a vette body. Seriously, just put a pilot wings shaped hood ornament on top of the front air scoop and you have an all-American exotic!
Thanks for the observation Vern. I’ve modified the post so readers can compare.
