Something Fishy

Talk about conflicting messages.

Fish is good for you because it has Omega-3 acids that reduce heart disease. Fish is bad for you — especially if you’re pregnant — and your kids because it has mercury and PCBs. And is it better to eat farmed or wild? It’s all so confusing. Do you grab your fish monger by the apron and demand to know where they get their fish? Or have you given up altogether and moved on to chicken and tofu?

The Strib’s health reporter Josephine Marcotty (who last wrote about the rise in epidurals) wants to hear your views. E-mail her at marcotty@startribune.com or call (612) 673-7394.
