First, the people behind the cerebral sex site Nerve.com introduce a parenting site, Babble.com. Now the people behind the wedding planning site TheKnot.com have rolled out a new parents’ guide, Lilaguide.com. I guess that’s what’s called vertical integration…

Local baby stores and services apparently are reviewed by real moms (why not dads too, I wonder?). Individual reviewers aren’t named, just listed, somewhat impersonally, for example, as “One Mom on 4/11/2005.”
