Dining out with Baby

Our first kid was always a perfect dinner companion. Even when she was really little, she perched demurely on her high chair, transferring morsels between thumb and forefinger, pinky extended. She could have been dining with the Queen of England. Pasta, burgers or Chinese dumplings - they all went down in satisfyingly large amounts.
The second one, well, let’s just say that more food ends up in her hair, on her chair and on the floor, than in her mouth.
But if you’re like us, that doesn’t stop you from taking baby out every now and then (My kid made that mess?? Nooo…) . If you’re looking for some cheap options, Delma Francis writes in today’s Strib about restaurants that cater to little ones, plus a list of those from D’Amico to Broder’s and Maggiano’s where kids dine free.
