Is your baby agitated? Try having her listen to “Washing Machine Purr”, track #3 on this CD.  According to creator Micheal Preston, it will do the trick to soothe even the fussiest baby. Apparently hair dryers and vacuum cleaners do the job as well. An article about this CD appears in today’s Source.   

One present we received for Ben was the Sleep Sheep.   A sound machine wrapped in sheeps clothing. The settings on it are heartbeat (kinda scary), whale noises (disturbing), rainstorm and ocean surf. We stick to the last two. Sleep Sheep has no hair dryer or vacuum options however. I have to say we’ve used it every single night that we’ve had it. We play it in conjunction with a little Bing Crosby -Tu Ra Lu on a lullaby mix CD or a nostalgic little music box….(see below)
