After a few too many laps around the couch one  recent dreary/grey/frigid weekend,  I brought toddler Ben to a quiet mall. You know, one of those malls that has a long hallway, abandoned stores and the occasional “craft” show.  Cheap, safe, fun for a two-year-old.  I set him down and let him RUN down the straightaway. After a few 100 yard dashes back and forth he was good and tired (and he loved it). 

Well, there are plenty of other options than suburban strip malls for kids to expend their boundless energy.
