Sleep, sweet sleep

Okay, here’s the umpteenth article on the importance of sleep. Don’t be a masochist and boast of only needing six hours a night, it warns. Men who sleep less than seven hours a night are more likely to die over a two-decade period than those who sleep seven to eight hours. Children are more likely to have weight and behaviorial problems.

No mention, I noticed, of new and not-so-new mothers and the effect on our health. Or whether it’s reversible….

There is something on the CDC adding shift work as one of the risk factors for cancer.

As someone who was up several times last night between 2am and 5am with a restless toddler, I sure feel like a  shift worker.

Read it and weep. I mean, sleep.

Cribsheeters: ‘fess up. How much sleep did you get last night?
