I know, I know, many travelers were inconvenienced and frustrated with all of the American Airlines cancellations recently. But there were a handful of us jumping up and down here in the Twin Cities when we heard that the flights were canceled.

Well, Grandma (my mom) was in town from Illinois, and flew here on American. We were having so much fun we didn’t want her to leave. And she was reluctant to give up the grand babies and all of the lap time and board books.  We really appreciated having the extra set of arms too. Peter and I didn’t realize what a luxury it was to be able to simultaneously fold laundry and empty the dishwasher until we had someone else there to help out.
So we had her for an extra night and Grandpa just had to nuke another Lean Cuisine back home.

The old saying “fish and house guests both stink after 3 days” just doesn’t apply to Grandma.
