Our secret spot is our backyard. We live in Apple Valley and they do the fireworks at the park just a couple of blocks from our house. We always have a big crowd on our deck. Then the kids who can stay up do and the others are asleep inside. They also have DJ's and fun activities at the park before the fireworks start. Great for kids!

How could you??? You Plame-ed my secret spot! (The one that for years I've been making people swear in blood not to tell anyone else about after I take them there.) It's intra-parent treason to blow the whistle on a deal like that just because you don't use it anymore!

Oh well, at least you didn't mention the three bonus features that make it so special, so there's a chance no one will bother to check it out.

(But if they do and it's a zoo there this year, I know who to blame...)

If we're in town, which hasn't been decided yet, we'll be doing St. Anthony Main...but we only live a few blocks away and will be able to walk (and I do love the crowds!).

The easiest ever is the parking lot of Target at the Quarry in NE. They aren't specatular there, but it is an in & out deal and when my children were bitty, this was enough to delight them. Just east of the Quarry is a park called Ridgeway on a hill where the viewing is better - also easy easy.
St. Anthony Main is a zoo, but really cool if you can stand the crowds.

Good luck,
Lucie

We're taking our 3 year old to the St. Paul Saints game - they have fireworks afterward. He loves baseball games, and I'm hoping he'll stay awake for the fireworks!
