For those of you who missed the comments below in Samara’s post: Commenter, Alison  shared this excellent State Fair safety freebie. 

North Memorial will be giving away 8,000 bike helmets for free to children ages 1-17 years old, at the State Fair this year. These are brand new, Bell Sports bike helmets. The exact same helmets you can buy from any retailer. The North Memorial booth is in the Health Fair 11 building and helmets will be available starting at 9am everyday. There is no cost, the only requirement is that the child be present and that you stand in line in order to get the helmet correctly fitted. I encourage you to stop by and get a helmet!
