Maybe they will run it again this weekend? When we were there, it was very crowded in some spots, but lots of people had picnic blankets and were sitting all over this large hill. There are picnic tables near the playground, but last year those were the busiest spots in the whole place. There may have been other picnic tables, but I didn't notice them. Sophie,

Any ideas about trying to have a birthday/picnic there? Are there available picnic tables (it will be a small group) or would we be better off having our picnic in another location nearby and then shuttling over? Is it super crowded? We went last year and had a blast. There are multiple parking lots around Hyland Lake and then they shuttle you to the event. The musical events look great this year, although Johnny and the Sprites were the hit in my household last year. I highly recommend the Target Children’s Book Festival!
