Easter weekend is coming up and looks like the weather will be decent for a few egg hunts and being outside.

We did several rites of spring last weekend such as the requisite…

Petting zoo…

Made my annual “Bunny Cake” Ben helped and tried to put jellybeans on the cake instead of IN his mouth…

Here’s a list from Mpls Parks & Rec for Easter egg hunts and events going on around the city.

Of course there are the Farm Babies at the Minnesota Zoo.

Macy’s Flower Show is also an annual favorite.

What are your plans for the weekend and more activites or suggestions?

Thanks for reminding me about the Farm Babies!

Another fun event this weekend is the Family Easter Celebration at Midtown Global Market on Friday, April 10 from 5-8PM. This is their usual Family Night, with the addition of the Easter Bunny (!), Easter activities and the unveiling of the NEW Global Kidz Zone play area! Should be a lot of fun. More info at http://www.midtownglobalmarket.com/Easter.

Happy Easter!

This isn’t an out and about thing but I vowed I was going to try and make Easter bonnets with my girls this year. Nothing fancy, I’m thinking paper plates, paint, glue, ribbon. Luckily kids are cute so even if you put a kind of ugly paper plate hat on top of them they’re still cute. Maybe even more so.

Of course this is Wednesday big talk.
