Oh, Kay...this sounds like the story of my life! The story of many of our lives, I'm sure. The constant running from place to place, always late, always behind, asking yourself constantly, is it worth it...?

Your friend is so right though. It's so hard to get yourself out the door...but when you do it's so totally worth it. The question I've started to ask myself more regularly, when I'm trying to decide whether or not to go through the hassle of getting myself to something I enjoy, is simply this: Will I regret it more if I GO, or if I DON'T go...? That has helped me solve many an is-it-worth-it dilemma!

My well-replenishing: FRIENDS! A night out at book club; a night out for drinks; even if it's nothing more than a pre-scheduled phone call with a long-distance girlfriend after the kids are in bed...nothing makes me feel better or more like a "real" person.

Laughter, no question. That and hanging out with people I love. If that means a night of hanging with my high school nieces instead of happy hour, that is what it means. I don't think I've ever left my sister-in-law's house without being in a better mood than when I came.
