I'm sad to say we can't go this time. I just got off the phone with one of the managers talking about their menu and safety around food allergies and it won't be safe for us. My daughter has multiple food allergies, including peanuts.

Although the manager was very nice and willing to prepare food in a way that would be safe, the fact that they serve peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches means there's a very high chance that some of that peanutbutter (even fingerprints) would be on the kids toys and indoor/outdoor play areas.

I can't take the risk that my daughter would play with a toy and then put her hands in her mouth (like all small children) and have a potentially life-threatening reaction.

I know these risks are everywhere, like at the park or at the mall, but since they actually serve peanutbutter on the menu, there is a very high chance that some of those sticky fingers would spread the peanut oils.

I wish I could make it!--especially since I missed the last one as well. But we're going to be out of town on vacation that week. But I've been to the train coffee shop and it'll be a fun place to meet. They also have games, etc. for kids.

Now I'm going to try and find last year's thread about people's secret watching spots for fireworks. We've told our 5 year-old she can watch them this year...
