Yep, I've got one of those too. Comes home from daycare with mud-covered clothes in the wetbag, but also loves playing dress up with boas and all sorts of other "pretties". Her daddy took a trip a few weeks ago and brought her back a little purse with a little plush horse in it. OMG, she loves that thing. No idea where all this girly-girl comes from. I was probably over 20 before I routinely started carrying a purse.

Kay--I'm noticing the same thing! I think our girls are pretty close to the same age. Josie's just as interested in being dirty as her big brother...but give her a toy purse, toy phone, necklaces/jewelry, etc...and the "girl" comes out just like THAT.

And I love that you used the word "sashayed"!! There is NO other word but that to convey what she was doing at her cousin's baseball game the other night. It was hilarious.

It is so fun to get to see both sides. I am also looking forward to the day when I can ask a child how their day was and get a response besides "good." I am told by moms of older girls that this is in my future, and I can't wait...'cuz The Boy might as well be mute for all the information I get!
