I’m not sure if this is a sign of the economy or a confirmation of my hunch that Restoration Hardware is in trouble, but save 20 percent storewide through Sunday Oct. 19. Online too. Sale or clearance items do not get the additional discount. I’ve never known them to do a storewide discount before. Their bed linens are wonderful, albeit expensive, and they never go on sale unless the pattern is discontinued.

Linens N Things has started its going out of business sale nationwide with everything marked 10 to 30 percent off.

Talbot’s outlet (Burnsville Marketplace, 13947 Aldrich Av. S., Burnsville 952-707-1240) is taking an additional 20 percent off select classics from Sunday Oct. 19 to Sunday Oct. 26.
