Weekend Pick: Making Maple Syrup

Time to tap into some old-fashioned fun. Sap runs from maple trees best when daytime temps are in the 30s to mid-40s and overnight temps dip down to freezing. That makes this weekend prime time for maple syruping. On Saturday, several state parks, including Fort Snelling, White Water and Itasca, will demonstrate how to make sypup.
