A silver lining to the economic downturn? Airlines have been flying fewer planes — and getting them to their final destination on time. The Department of Transportation announced that the 19 airlines that report their data were on time an average of 83 percent of the time in February. That’s up from 69 percent in February of last year. Southwest tops the airlines that fly out of MSP with 88 percent of their planes arriving on time. Northwest and Delta were at 82 percent and 83 percent respectively. Sun Country was not listed.
