Colorado’s calling again this weekend, with both Frontier Airlines and United Airlines offering some last-minute deals to the Rocky Mountain state.
Frontier Airlines is offering last-minute flights to Denver for as low as $218 round trip. A three-day advance purchase is required and travel must be completed by Wednesday, July 8.
Beyond that, United Airlines is offering flights to Aspen ($234) and Grand Junction ($236), next weekend. Those tickets must be purchased by Friday night.
Otherwise, if your patriotism cup still runneth over, Sun Country Airlines this week is promoting a two-day, all accommodations covered tour of Washington D.C. led by former TV news personality Joe Schmit, for $599 per person.
The deal: Depart Friday, July 10 and return Sunday, July 12. The trip includes transportation to/from the D.C. airport, a Capitol Hill tour, and two nights at the Loews Madison Hotel. Tickets must be purchased by Monday night, July 6.

Kerri Westenberg has globe-trotted for National Geographic and other magazines. Now she zips around the region, on the lookout for travel news you can use.
Elizabeth Larsen lived in Salzburg, Austria, and has traveled throughout Europe and the Americas. She can say "diaper," "bottle" and "crib" in four languages.
Troy Melhus has heli-skied on glaciers, dived alongside Monk seals and raced for 24 hours on a mountain bike. All this, and he rarely spends more than $500 on a trip.
