The colonial city of San Miguel de Allende in central Mexico has been an American expat haven for decades, first for GIs looking to make the most of their education funds and then by heat-weary southerners who discovered this mountain town offers perfect summer weather. The number of tourists are bound to be down this summer thanks to H1N1, but its many charms will be remain long after the crowds return. Take in this sites and sounds with this video.Â
