Derek,

Did it have a deep gravelly voice like a constipated bear?

I see you've received the same phone call as well!

It was so EASY Predictions!

Here are a number of things I predicted that I can't believe people did not see it was going to happen.

1. Gophers having a bad year in 2007.

I just do not understand what all the fuss is about from the Masonites about what happened in 2007. I predicted 2007 was going to be a tough year and it was so EASY to see. All the experts even predicted for us to finish dead last in the Big Ten. With no talent it was EASY to see 2007 was going to be a terrible year.

2. Mase not getting a job.

When Mase was coach here his last few years, many of the Masonites (Wren especially) on this site, told us there are plenty of places that want coach Mase. I had to calm their fears. I told them that once was the case but not anymore. I told them over and over again Mase has nowhere to go. Mase has campaigned hard for a job and it still has not happened. I hate to pat myself on the back but this was so EASY to predict.

3. Gophers winning last three Big Ten games in 2006.

Loon acted like we had won the Rose bowl when the Gophers won the last three Big Ten games in 2006. I predicted it was going to happen on Gopherhole after the loss to OSU. It was so EASY to predict. We were playing three bad teams with two of those games at home. It was so EASY to predict this was going to happen.

These are just a few predictions that were so EASY to predict. It's like Wren talking about how easy the Gophers schedule is this year.

False Prophets

Let me give you a warning about some false prophets. We had a a couple of posters make some bold predictions on Mase about what would have happened if Mase was still our coach.

1. Bud saying the experts would have predicted us to finish as high as 6th in the Big Ten in 2007, if Mase was still our coach.

2. Recruiting saying Mase would go 10-2 in 2008.

If they really think these predictions were going to come true then they must have made these bold predictions during happy hour.

You will be reading a lot of the local columnists such as the Strib’s very own reusse commenting on the relevence of Big Ten wins to the status of one gm/recruiter brewster in September, October and November. And, he will tell it the way he sees it. A LOT of Big Ten wins is the only hope for the gm/recruiter wanna be.
--------------
Wren, I didn't realize you were such a big Reusse fan! Did Reusse "tell it the way he sees it" when he named Glen Mason "Turkey of the Year"???!!!

--Huh?--

I think that's what happpens when the temperature gets too warm and the snowman melts or it's just another one of the cornocopia ofpersonalities in Wren's world.
