Dan Woog, who is organizing a Gophers alumni no-check scrimmage, said everything is a go.
It will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the New Prague Area Community Center. A youth skate at 3:30 p.m. will precede the scrimmage.

Woog, of course, is the son of the Wooger, Doug Woog who played and coached the Gophers and now describes their games on Fox Sports Net North.

Doug will be there, too, though probably not playing.

Here is a rundown compiled by Dan Woog of the other ex-Gophers expected there:

COACH DOUG WOOG - Played for Gophers in 1960’s. US Olympic assistant coach in 1983-84. Head coach for Gophers from 1985-99. Currently does TV color commentary for the Gophers games with Fox Sports Net North, sells suites for the hockey and basketball events, and runs the Doug Woog Hockey Camp. South St. Paul H.S. grad and resident.

DAN WOOG - Played center for Gophers 1992-97. Before that at South St. Paul H.S. Currently is a shareholder and VP for Investments with Northland Capital Holdings, a fiscal advisor for the city of New Prague. Eagan resident.

DAVE LARSON - Played right wing for Gophers 1992-96 and for South St. Paul H.S. before that. Owner of Miller’s Tap in New Prague.

BRUCE LARSON - Dad of Dave Larson. Played in 60’s for Gophers with Doug Woog. Another product of South St. Paul H.S. May even play today! Enjoying retirement in northern Minnesota.

MIKE CROWLEY - Played defense for Gophers 1994-97. Bloomington Jefferson H.S. Taken in 1993 NHL draft by Philadelphia Flyers. Retired in 2002. Works for Stryker in the Spine Division. Resides in Eden Prairie.

LARRY OLIMB - Played center for Gophers 1988-92. Warroad H.S. Taken in 1987 NHL draft by Minnesota North Stars. Retired in 1995. Works in Sales & Leasing for Carlson Real Estate.

DAN HENDRICKSON - Played center/wing for Gophers 1993-97. Richfield H.S. Taken in 1993 NHL draft by Washington Capitals. Retired in 1999. Equity trader for Piper Jaffray.

SCOTT BELL - Played right wing for Gophers 1990-95. Retired in 2000. Simley H.S. grad. Head Coach at Hamline University, the 2007-2008 MIAC conference champs.

BRETT ABRAHAMSON - Played defense for Gophers 1995-98. Retired in 2000. Tartan H.S. grad. Now works as a dairy products wholesaler for North Central Companies.

ERIK WENDELL - Played wing for Gophers 1998-2002. Maple Grove H.S. grad. Krissy’s brother. Taken in 1998 NHL draft by Washington Capitals. Retired in 2005. Works in real estate.

JAY MOSER - Played right wing for Gophers 1994-1996. Taken in 1991 NHL draft by Boston Bruins. Retired in 1999. Cottage Grove (Park) H.S. grad. Now works for Midwest Premier Mortgage and head coach at Cottage Grove H.S.

WILL ANDERSON - Played wing for Gophers 1994-1995. Now an American Family Insurance agent. Resides in White Bear Lake. WBL H.S. grad.

CHARLIE WASLEY - Played defense for Gophers 1992-96. Taken in 1992 NHL draft by Quebec Nordiques. Works for Life Time Fitness Athletic Events. Edina High School grad.

BRIAN THORESON - Played for Gophers 1979-1982. Minnetonka- Lindberg H.S. grad. Now in sales and leasing with Key Cadillac.

NICK CHECCO - Played left wing for Gophers 1993-97. Taken in 1993 NHL draft by Quebec Nordiques. Retired in 2002. Bloomington Jefferson H.S. grad.

DAN TREBIL - Played defense for Gophers 1992-96. Taken in 1992 NHL draft by New Jersey Devils. Retired in 2001. Bloomington Jefferson H.S. Now works for NorthMarq Capital, Inc. –Commercial Real Estate Mortgage Banking.

STEVE DEBUS - Played goalie for Gophers 1995-98. Retired in 2003. Rochester Mayo H.S. grad. Coaches at St. Olaf College.

BOBBY DUSTIN - Played wing for Gophers 1992-96. Roseville H.S. grad. Currently is a parole officer for Hennepin County. Resides in North St. Paul.

JESSE BERTOGLIAT - Played wing for Gophers 1992-96. Currently a lumber trader with Viking Forest Products.  Cloquet H.S. grad. He and his wife Sarah live in Excelsior with their four children; Mario, Bella, Olivia and Stella.

MATT KOALSKA - Played center for Gophers 2000-04. 2000 NHL draft by Nashville Predators. Retired in 2007. Hill Murray H.S. grad.

DAVE TERWILLIGER - Played for Gophers 1977-1981. Retired in 1982. Edina East H.S. Works for RW Baird Broker Dealer.

STEVE ULSETH - Played for Gophers 1977-1981. Retired in 1983. Roseville Kellogg H.S. grad.
