An FSN spokesperson said the TV ratings for the Gophers-St. Cloud State series were “pretty good.”
The average rating Friday night was 1.85, with the highest quarter hour climbing to 2.7. In the Neilson ratings, one rating point equals 16,665 households. So almost 45,000 households, at the peak, were watching the Gophers’ 3-2 victory over St. Cloud State at the National Hockey Center.
The ratings Saturday were 1.83 for an average, and 2.4 for the highest quarter hour.
BLUE LINE LUNCHEONS BACK
After a one-season absence, the Blue Line luncheons are back. At least four of them. They will be held on Thursdays at 11 a.m. at Jax Cafe in Northeast Minneapolis.
Dates are Nov. 13, before a home series against Michigan Tech; Jan. 15, before a home and home series against St. Cloud State; Feb. 5, before a home series against Wisconsin, and Feb. 26, before a home series against Minnesota-Duluth.
Tickets are $20 for Blue Line members, $25 for anyone else.
The day of the week has been changed from Friday to Thursday, so coach Don Lucia can bring players to the luncheon easier. Some alumni are also expected to make guest appearances.
Contact Jean Edhlund (612-486-9581) for ticket information. She is an account executive in sales and marketing for the Fox Cable Network. Edhlund and Jen Flor, the wife of Craig Flor, the arena manager of Mariucci, are two of the handful of people behind bringing the luncheons back.
