Last week FSN announced it would carry 28 Gophers men’s hockey games this season.
Today, the Big Ten Network announced it will carry three more games.
All are home games on Friday nights — Saturday is probably reserved for football, football, football.
BTN will air the Gophers against North Dakota on Jan. 15, vs. Colorado College on Feb. 19, both at Mariucci, and vs. Wisconsin on Mar. 5 at Target Center.
BTN is available nationwide in 55 million homes.
So, all in all, 31 of the Gophers’ 36 regular-season games will be televised. Not on the air will be the series at Michigan Tech on Dec. 11-12 and at Alaska Anchorage Jan. 29-30 and one game at Michigan State on Nov. 28.
FSN will carry the first 13 games and the entire Final Five and the first round of the WCHA playoffs. Of the 28 games on FSN, 23 will be carried live.
ESPN and ESPNU will telecast the NCAA tournament, including the West Regional at the X on Mar. 26-27.
FSN reaches two million homes in the Upper Midwest.
