Four of my Rostov sunflowers survived the rabbits. This was the first to turn from green to gold. The stalk is as thick as my arm and a good foot taller than me.

I don’t know what kind my sunflowers are, but I have one that’s probably nine feet tall that looks like it’ll finally bloom tonight. The firt one bloomed about a month ago, the rest have been slowly following suit. I should have plenty of big, yellow flowers through August and September.

Look for them on Lyndale a couple blocks south of the Wedge, right by the Loon Grocery.
