A lot of high-profile media types were expecting to take the weekend off before coming to the Twin Cities, but John McCain’s bombshell this morning may have changed all that. Anchors now eager to interview the Alaskan governor might be tempted to stay in the Midwest. In fact, CBS is now planning to do the Nightly News from the Twin Cities on Friday night and that means Katie Couric is on her way into town. She’ll most likely be doing the broadcast from a hotel. We’ll keep you posted…

And speaking of the media, I’ll be posting daily columns on all the journalists in town. Which stories and people are you most interested in? Who would you like to see profiled? Share your questions and ideas and I’ll do my best to include them in our coverage.
