Hi-dee-ho. Ebenezer Scrooge here armed with loads and loads of coal. Yeah, I did my holiday duties and shoveled out all kinds of accolades and goodies for the best TV of the year (you can read about it in Sunday’s paper or startribune.com). But my true nature now comes out. Here are worst shows from the past six months:

Rosie Live

90210

Kath & Kim

Do Not Disturb

Hole in the Wall

Z Rock

I Survived a Japanese Game Show

Click and Clack’s As the Wrench Turns

Swingtown

Would you consider including the political ads?

I thought “Swingtown” was kind of fun in an over-the-top, campy kind of way.

Kath and Kim is the only one I’ve seen since my TV usually stays on NBC in preparation for The Office. It tries too hard to be kooky and cute. I’m getting sick of that approach with shows now. I did catch a an episode of Hole in the Wall when it was on after a football game. Everyone knew this should only have lasted well..one episode. The real Japanese Game shows shown on cable are entertaining and physically demanding with just the right comedic element. They failed to translate that to the US version.
Though I never saw Swingtown, the concept seemed fresh and interesting. I’m not sure about the demise of that one.
