Your Top 10 list!

On Sunday, I had the chance to share my top 10 list of favorite programs from the first half of 2009. Feel free to do the same. Here’s a recap of my list:

1) “Rescue Me” (FX): Still smokin’ hot.

2) “Thrilla in Manila” (HBO): A sports documentary that will have you rethinking your admiration for Muhammed Ali.

3) “The Big Bang Theory” (CBS): Slowly, ,but surely, this has become the best sitcom on TV.

4) “Damages” (FX): Not as strong as the first season, but still great whodunit stories.

5) “30 Rock” (NBC): Not even a bevy of guest stars could ruin the spirit of this plucky sitcom.

6) “My Boys” (TBS): Criminally underappreciated.

7) “Breaking Bad” (AMC): Bryan Cranston. ‘Nuff said.

8) “Taking Chance” (HBO): When will someone recognize Kevin Bacon as more than just a touchstone for a dated game?

9) “Better off Ted” (ABC): Never got the time slot or the traction to be a hit.

10): “Party Down” (Starz): Betcha you haven’t seen this one. Change that.

I’d add How I Met Your Mother.

I concur with Jake on “How I Met Your Mother.” Monday night from 7-8 is the best comedy block on TV (with “Big Bang Theory”.

I would also add “Fringe” to the list. How could you have left this off? It’s the best sci-fi TV series since the golden years of “The X-Files,” and makes for some very good drama as well.

I’d add Burn Notice on USA, there is just a coolness to that show.

The Thrilla in Manilla doc was great, but it also didn’t show Mr. Frazier in the greatest light. I came away just sad about the whole thing. Very good doc. Party Down has a great cast and has made me laugh a lot, maybe even more than 30 Rock this year? I know it’s crazy, but it’s true.

What about In Treatment? Lost? Two of the best shows on TV! I’m stuck midway through Season Two — it started too slow and then I had other things I started watching with more regularity.

1. Rescue Me. I thought a 15,000 year lay off might hurt the show. Nope, its back and better than ever.
2. 30 Rock. I think this is the funniest show on tv. It seems they rarely have a bad/unfunny show
3. Better Off Ted. More people need to watch this! I hope ABC doesnt cancel it
4. The Office. A real disappointing season. It seems like it never really took off until late in the year, then after about 4 episodes, its fell flat again.
5. Parks and Recreation. This show really got going for me the last few weeks, but now the season is over
6. My Name Is Earl. a few dud episodes this year, but this show still had me laughing

*I would throw The Late Late Show w/ Craig Ferguson into the list, it would be either #3 or 4. His 2 minute puppet show make me laugh more than Jimmy Fallon does in a week.

thats about all my list has. Nothing else has really caught my eye.

Nice to see support for “Mother,” although the whole “who is the mother” thing is getting really old. Either advance that story or drop it.

Neal, you must have missed the season finale of “Mother” last night (and the past few episodes) as they have been advancing the story. In fact, the “mother” has been narrowed down to a group of people (not wanting to give a spoiler in case people haven’t seen the finale).

What about Ladies No 1 Detective Agency, So You Think You Can Dance coming yet this month and Weeds coming June 8 - your list will be obsolete very soon! Or, don’t you count pay cable?
